Seattle, WA – The Snow Leopard Trust has been awarded an AI for Earth grant from Microsoft to advance the use of remote cameras for estimating the population size and location hotspots of the elusive, endangered snow leopard.
Efforts are underway to better assess and monitor the health of livestock in Ladakh – with benefits for local herders and wildlife.

In 2016, our talented and dedicated young colleague Sumbe Tomorsukh tragically passed away. To honor Sumbe’s legacy, we’ve named the newest wild snow leopard to be part of our study in Mongolia after him.
