Just this past September, our field researcher Sumbee was returning toUlaanbaatar,Mongolia’s capital city, to resume his university classes. Unfortunately, while our camp driver Miji was at the wheel, another driver who had fallen asleep crashed head-on into our research van. Sumbee was not injured and Miji is still recovering, but both will be just fine thanks to Miji’s skill and quick thinking. The research van was badly damaged, and must be replaced soon in order to keep our research moving forward. Our warmest wishes are with Miji and we will report on his condition as soon as we know more.
