Our autumn research season is now underway! While our team members process the images taken by motion sensing camera during the summer, field researchers are gearing up to collar more snow leopards this fall. Coordinating travel agendas and securing the required supplies and equipment consumed much of September, but thanks to everyone’s hard work, by October 1st most projects were ready to go.
Early October is a time of travel for our field researchers. Sumbee is now heading back to his university to work on snow leopard identification, while Orjan (pictured) is on his way to base camp in the company of Kulhushan Suryawanshi. Suryawanshi is an ungulate expert and will be working with Orjan in the field for several weeks survey wild and domestic populations of goats and sheep.
Join us in wishing our team the best of luck this fall!
