Experience an evening of Nepalese culture with music, art, dance, vendors, food and presentations. Sponsored by Crooked Trails, proceeds from ticket sales support the Namaste Children's Fund and the Shree Kalika Secondary School in Bhaktapur, Nepal. The Snow Leopard Trust will have a table here and will be selling items made in Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan (as well as discounted memberships!) Presented by the Tibetan Association of Washington, Tibet Fest seeks to preserve this centuries-old cultural tradition with art, dance, music and discussions of the Tibetan people. Explore the rituals and traditions of Tibet with handmade crafts, prayer flags, children’s activities and traditional food. Symbolic masks, ancient movement and speakers explain the culture’s foundation in Buddhism. The Snow Leopard Trust is honored to hold our booth there, once again. Come learn more about snow leopards, conservation commerce (shopping for snow leopards and other endangered animals), and what you can do to help ensure a future for snow leopards in the wild. Don't miss this special opportunity to meet staff from the Snow Leopard Trust and Woodland Park Zoo and hear more about their united efforts to save the endangered snow leopard and benefit the people living in snow leopard habitat! The Sustainable Living Fair is a family oriented event designed to educate and inspire people of all ages and backgrounds about sustainable living practices, natural health, environmental and social responsibility and much more!
