Snow Leopard's Lair
from the Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom series on Animal Planet channel
premiered in March. The program is repeated periodically, check the current schedule. (Be sure to check your local cable listing to confirm the time.) The documentary has stunning footage of Bayad-e-Kohsaar, the wild snow leopard from the Trust's first of its kind snow leopard research project.
BBC News is tracking the progress of the project, including the search for the collar that Bayad was wearing. Find out more in Collar 'key' to snow leopard secrets.
You can also read Answers to to your snow leopard questions from Snow Leopard Trust's Science and Conservation Director Tom McCarthy, and his entries to Snow Leopard Diary.
Snow Leopard's Lair is based on the same footage as Snow Leopard: Beyond the Myth from the BBC's Natural World series. It features three years of landmark footage in high definition of Bayad and her cub in Northern Pakistan, and has already aired in the UK to great reviews. Footage of Bayad can also seen in the Mountains episode of Planet Earth from Discovery Channel.
